The fifth week of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring will kick off this Wednesday as we head towards the halfway point of the split. Below are ESB’s best bets for the KT Rolster vs DRX and Nongshim RedForce vs Hanwha Life Esports series, with odds courtesy of GG Bet.

KT ROLSTER vs DRX LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: KT $1.30 at GG Bet | DRX $3.40 at GG Bet
When: February 15, 2023 | 17:00 KST

The first series for the day will see fifth-placed KT Rolster take on ninth-placed DRX, with the former starting to hit their best form and the latter struggling at the bottom of the table.

KT Rolster have won their last three series, with two of those victories coming against Dplus KIA and Gen.G Esports, who both sat inside the top three on LCK table when they met. We spoke about the inconsistencies with KT Rolster in the preview of their series with Gen.G, after they lost to Kwangdong Freecs, who hadn’t won a series before their win over KT, but they then went on to defeat Dplus two games later. However, KT completed week four undefeated by ending their week with a very impressive 2-1 win over Gen.G; therefore, it makes them very hard to tip against in this series against the underwhelming DRX.

As we mentioned above, DRX have been quite underwhelming this split with only one series win coming from their eight matches played. DRX are currently in the midst of a four-series losing streak, with those losses coming against BRION, Hanwha Life Esports, SANDBOX Gaming and T1. However, DRX were able to win one map against three of those four teams, with only T1 defeating them 2-0. The tough times for the reigning LoL world champions are expected to continue as they will face KT Rolster and Hanwha Life Esports in week five, before they go into the final four weeks of the LCK Spring split.

Considering KT Rolster are in top form and DRX have pushed three of their last four opponents to three maps, the $2.10 odds on offer for over 2.5 maps with GG Bet looks to be great value for this series.

NONGSHIM REDFORCE vs HANWHA LIFE ESPORTS LOL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: RedForce $4.33 at GG Bet | HLE $1.20 at GG Bet
When: February 15, 2023 | 19:30 KST

The second series on Wednesday will feature last-placed Nongshim RedForce taking on sixth-placed Hanwha Life Esports, with both teams desperate for a win.

Nongshim RedForce have lost their last four matches to SANDBOX Gaming, T1, Gen.G Esports and Kwangdong Freecs, with their latest loss to the Freecs being one of their worst results as they were expected to challenge the Freecs with both of them having identical records, sitting in last and second last on the table. RedForce have consistently struggled throughout the LCK Spring split and they are clearly the worst team in the LCK for this split. There is no reason to think that a win is on the horizon for the bottom-placed team.

As for their opponent, Hanwha Life Esports, they have won three of their last four matches against T1, DRX and BRION, with identical series score lines of 2-1, before going down to Dplus KIA 0-2 in their most recent outing. HLE have started to find their top form, with their new signings all starting to gel and play well together, resulting in better performances and series wins. Even though HLE have been recording series wins, the results aren’t convincing enough for us to see them cracking into the top two or three in the LCK. However, this series won’t be against a team that sits in the top half of the LCK Spring split table, so they should be winning this series.

Hanwha Life Esports needs to win this series against Nongshim RedForce, and in doing so, they need to win in dominant fashion to stay in contact with the top teams in the LCK.
