EDward Gaming (EDG) and G2 Esports have secured their spots in the upper final of VALORANT Masters Bangkok after hard-fought victories over T1 and Team Vitality, respectively.
While both teams remain in contention for the championship, T1 and Vitality must now battle for survival in the lower bracket.

EDG, fresh off a strong showing against G2 in the previous round, came out swinging against T1.
The opening map, Split, saw the Chinese VALORANT side dominate early, nearly securing a flawless victory as they surged to a 10-0 lead.
Despite a spirited comeback attempt from T1, EDG sealed a 13-7 win behind a standout performance from Wan “CHICHOO” Shunzhi, who posted a server-high 326 Average Combat Score (ACS).
The second map, Bind, was a much tighter contest.
The first half remained within two rounds throughout, but after the break, T1 came alive.
The Pacific region’s Korean superteam rattled off eight straight rounds to close out a 13-6 win, sending the match to a deciding third map on Pearl.
Pearl proved to be a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading thrifty rounds and keeping the score tight.
T1 held an 11-9 lead before CHICHOO once again stepped up, delivering an electrifying 32-kill performance.
His late-game heroics helped EDG win four consecutive rounds to secure a 13-11 victory and a 2-1 series triumph.
“I think my confidence comes from our whole team—my teammates help me, their in-game actions enable my plays,” CHICHOO said after racking up a series-high 72 kills.
“Even when I want to take risks, they support me, which allows me to perform well individually.”

G2 Esports and Team Vitality delivered one of the most anticipated matchups of the tournament, with both teams adapting to each other’s strategies in a tense series.
The opening map, Bind, saw Vitality take an early 3-0 lead before G2 responded with a crucial thrifty round to tie things up.
Despite an ace from Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev, G2 mounted a comeback, forcing overtime before closing out a dramatic 15-13 win.
On Lotus, G2 finally ended their pistol round struggles and built an early 6-1 lead.
Vitality responded with a five-round streak to tie the half at 6-6, but G2 regained control in the second half, reaching 10-6 before closing out a 13-9 victory.
The win handed Vitality their first loss of the 2025 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) season.
“It sucks to lose, but I think the healthiest thing that could have happened since this team started was us losing in an official match,” admitted Team Vitality’s Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel in the post-match press conference.
Across the series, G2’s Ethan “leaf” Arnold shined, posting a match-high 1.53 rating, 84% KAST, and 194 ADR.
With these results, EDG and G2 Esports will clash in the upper final on February 28. Meanwhile, T1 and Team Vitality will face off in the lower bracket on March 1, with the loser eliminated from the tournament.
